Knife drawn during dispute outside Soest nightclub

Two groups became involved in a verbal dispute outside a nightclub on Riga-Ring in Soest during the night leading into 1 March. According to consistent witness accounts, one person allegedly drew a knife but did not use it. Another person is alleged to have struck someone with a wooden plank with protruding nails.

One group then left the scene and remains at large, police said. Officers stopped a vehicle belonging to the other group nearby. Its three occupants, including a 20-year-old driver and two minors, had partly serious injuries. Police found the wooden plank in the vehicle but no knife, and investigations into the background and possible involvement of those concerned are continuing.
