Man injured in backpack robbery at Sömmerda station
An unknown offender robbed a 23-year-old man of his backpack inside the station building in Sömmerda on 4 August. At about 16:20, the offender first approached the man and asked for a light. When the man complied, the offender grabbed the backpack and tried to pull it away. During the ensuing struggle, he punched the victim in the face and held a knife-like object, with which he slightly injured the victim's face. The offender fled with the backpack, while the victim received medical treatment. An immediate search was unsuccessful, and police are investigating on suspicion of aggravated robbery.
