Man stabs acquaintance with kitchen knife in Selsingen

A 50-year-old man is alleged to have injured a 65-year-old acquaintance with a kitchen knife in Selsingen. According to police, the suspect entered the sleeping man's flat at about 8:00 a.m. on 1 March and stabbed him in the back in the living room. A witness alerted police. The injured man was taken to hospital and was not in danger of dying. The suspect was taken into custody. Police said both men had reportedly been drinking together beforehand and were under the influence of alcohol at the time. Investigators are examining the background and the precise sequence of events as a case of dangerous bodily harm.
