22-year-old attacked with knives in Sehnde
At about 4 a.m. on 30 October 2025, at least five people allegedly entered an apartment building in Sehnde and deliberately attacked a 22-year-old man. Police said they struck and stabbed him with blunt instruments and knives, leaving him seriously injured. The injury was initially considered potentially life-threatening, although medical assessment found no immediate danger to his life. The 22-year-old called emergency services himself and was taken to hospital, while the attackers fled. A knife believed to have been used in the attack was secured at the scene. A 29-year-old suspect was arrested on 12 March 2026 and remanded in pre-trial detention. Investigations into further participants, the background and the motive remain ongoing.
