Schneeberg: Man allegedly threatened employee with knife in attempted robbery
A 36-year-old man allegedly threatened a 69-year-old employee with a knife and demanded cash from the register at a shop on Schneeberg's market square at about 12:15 p.m. on 24 March. A struggle followed and continued onto the market square. The slightly injured employee called for help, after which the man fled without any loot. A police officer pursued and overpowered him in a courtyard near Ritterstraße. Officers also found the alleged weapon there. The suspect was released after police measures, and the investigation is continuing.
