Man allegedly threatened wife with knife in Schlierbach
A 71-year-old man allegedly threatened his 57-year-old wife with a knife in their shared apartment in Schlierbach at about 12:45 p.m. on Monday. The woman escaped and contacted a witness, whom the man also allegedly threatened. The man then barricaded himself in the apartment as police cordoned off the area and precautionarily evacuated people from the building. Specialists entered the apartment because of suspected danger to others and himself and took him into custody without resistance. He was taken to a clinic for medical assessment, and police are investigating the circumstances.
