Man injures pursuer with switchblade in Saarbrücken
After stealing two parcels from a building entrance, a 41-year-old man was pursued by witnesses in Saarbrücken on 26 August. When they caught up with and held him near Bahnhofstraße, a struggle ensued. The man used a switchblade against a 31-year-old pursuer, injuring him in the abdomen. The injured man was taken to hospital for initial treatment. Officers later arrested the man, and prosecutors were expected to seek a detention warrant.
