Man threatens relatives with knife at gathering in Rüdesheim
During a gathering on Geisenheimer Straße in Rüdesheim am Rhein, a 36-year-old man became involved in a dispute with relatives at about 23:40 on 16 May. He then held out a knife and threatened the people confronting him. The relatives disarmed the heavily intoxicated man.
Several family members subsequently punched and kicked him until police officers arrived. He was first given medical care and was then taken into custody to sober up because he remained aggressive. The people he had threatened were unharmed, and police opened several criminal proceedings.
