Two seriously injured in knife attack outside Rochlitz supermarket
A 23-year-old man is suspected of seriously injuring two people with a knife outside a supermarket on Geithainer Straße in Rochlitz on the evening of 17 April. Police said a 59-year-old customer was attacked without warning as she left the store and suffered multiple stab wounds. An 18-year-old employee of a neighbouring shop came to her aid and was also seriously injured. Passers-by held the suspect until police arrived. During his arrest, he is alleged to have struck and kicked officers; police secured the suspected weapon. Both injured people were taken to hospital, and the investigation is continuing.
