Robbery at Rheine crossing: One of two men held a knife
A woman was waiting with her bicycle at the traffic light at Paulstraße and Hansaallee in Rheine at about 1:15 p.m. on 31 October 2026. Two unidentified men came up on either side of her; according to the woman, one held a knife and took the handbag from her bicycle’s luggage rack. Both men left, and an immediate police search was unsuccessful. Soon afterwards, an unidentified finder handed in the bag at a hardware store on Paulstraße, but the cash was missing. Police are seeking that finder and other witnesses. No injury to the woman is reported.
