Several injured after knife attack at Rheine station
On 7 August, two groups of young adults comprising eight people met at Rheine station. A fight broke out on a platform, during which federal police said a knife was used. Several young men were injured, some seriously, and one sustained cut injuries.
A similar incident had occurred shortly beforehand at the Emsgalerie, where an approximately 20-centimetre knife was reportedly also used. At least one group is believed to have been involved in both incidents. Federal police secured surveillance footage and are seeking witnesses, particularly regarding the use of the knife.
