Teenager detained after suspected knife attack in Remscheid
Two teenagers became involved in an argument during a birthday celebration at an allotment garden site on Kimmenauer Weg in Remscheid's Lennep district. During the subsequent physical confrontation late on 16 May, one teenager is alleged to have injured the other with a knife. Emergency services took the injured teenager to hospital, where emergency surgery was performed. The suspect initially fled on foot but was found near the Balkantrasse during a search and provisionally detained. A homicide investigation unit is investigating, and a judge was due to decide on pre-trial detention.
