Child injures another minor with kitchen knife in Remscheid
An altercation between two children took place in Theatergasse in central Remscheid on 22 May. Police said the older minor repeatedly punched the other child in the head. The child then lightly injured the minor in the thigh with a kitchen knife. The minor initially ran away but was found shortly afterwards by responding officers and released after being questioned in the presence of guardians. The injured minor received treatment in an ambulance and was then treated as an outpatient at a hospital. Previous disputes are believed to have preceded the meeting.
