Minor threatened with knife on train in Regensburg

A 44-year-old man is alleged to have demanded money from a minor passenger at knifepoint while an ICE train was stopping in Regensburg on 11 May. The teenager fought the attacker off by kicking him, after which he fled the train.

The train conductor called emergency services. Federal police officers provisionally arrested the suspect in the station area based on a description. At the request of prosecutors, an investigating judge issued a warrant and the man was taken to prison. Criminal police are investigating and seeking further witnesses.
