80-year-old found dead after stab wounds in Refrath
Police officers found an 80-year-old dead in his son's apartment in Refrath on 18 October. A 44-year-old is suspected of killing the man with multiple stab wounds to the upper body. The suspect's sister alerted police that evening after being unable to reach her father by telephone. Initial investigations indicate that the suspect may have inflicted serious knife injuries on himself.
