Woman throws kitchen knife at police officers in Ravensburg

A 45-year-old woman threw a kitchen knife with full force towards several police officers on Ulmer Straße in Ravensburg on Wednesday evening. Passers-by had alerted police after seeing her holding the knife and shouting loudly. The officers were not injured by the knife throw.

After the woman did not respond to officers speaking to her, police used pepper spray and took her into custody. She strongly resisted and kicked at two officers; one female officer suffered minor injuries during the struggle. The woman was taken to a specialist clinic because of an acute mental health crisis. She now faces reports for attempted dangerous bodily harm and resisting law enforcement officers.
