Man critically injured in suspected knife stabbing
A 22-year-old man was brought to a hospital in Paderborn with life-threatening injuries on Saturday evening. Investigators said he was allegedly injured by a knife stab to the flank and was stabilised after emergency surgery. Police linked the case to an altercation involving a larger group on the edge of a beach party at Lake Lippe. Unknown people are said to have taken the injured man to hospital by car. Another person was also lightly injured by a pepper gun during the incident. A homicide investigation unit is examining the sequence of events and possible suspects.
