Care worker attacked with sharp object at Paderborn clinic
A minor is alleged to have attacked a 24-year-old care worker with a sharp object at a psychiatric clinic in Paderborn on 16 August 2025. Police and prosecutors said the attack happened at about 11:50 a.m. while cooking was taking place in a kitchen. The care worker suffered life-threatening injuries, received initial treatment at the scene and was then taken to hospital. The minor was subsequently held in police custody, and a homicide unit took over the investigation. The motive remains under investigation.
