19-year-old seriously injured in knife attack in Osnabrück
A 19-year-old man was seriously injured during a physical altercation in central Osnabrück on 24 March. According to the investigation so far, several people punched and kicked him before a 22-year-old allegedly stabbed him in the upper body with a knife. The injured man was taken to hospital and was not believed to be in life-threatening condition. Several people fled in two cars. Police later recovered a suspected weapon and arrested the 22-year-old. A judge ordered him remanded in custody on suspicion of attempted manslaughter.
