Man remanded after knife robbery in Osnabrück
A man is alleged to have threatened a 19-year-old cashier with a knife and demanded cash at a grocery store on Östringer Weg in Osnabrück at about 20:45 on Thursday evening. The employee handed over the money and was not injured. The offender initially fled, but officers later stopped and arrested a 36-year-old suspect. A judge ordered the man remanded in custody because of a risk of flight. Police said it remains under investigation whether the 40-year-old driver of the rental car that was stopped was involved in the robbery.
