Petrol station employee threatened with knife in Oldenburg

A 21-year-old man allegedly robbed a petrol station on Bremer Heerstraße in Oldenburg early on 12 January 2025. Police said that at about 6 a.m. he threatened the cashier present with a long knife and took cash and cigarettes. He then fled in a Mercedes. Police identified the suspect and began a search. Hours later, officers located him and the vehicle at a car park on the A14 beyond Magdeburg and provisionally arrested him. Nearly all of the stolen property was recovered, and he was due to appear before a remand judge.
