Man allegedly attacks police officers with knife in Offenburg
During an officially ordered deportation at shared accommodation in Offenburg, a 20-year-old man allegedly attacked attending police officers with a knife. Police said he had previously allegedly injured his own arm. Officers used pepper spray and then fired shots after it appeared to have had no effect. The man was not injured by the gunfire, initially fled and was arrested shortly afterwards in a neighbouring residential area. Following medical treatment, he is in police custody and criminal police are investigating.
