Pharmacy robbed at knifepoint in Oebisfelde

A woman was threatened with a kitchen knife during a robbery at a pharmacy in Oebisfelde on 19 December. The offender demanded cash from the till, which was handed over to him. He then fled toward a petrol station with a second offender who had been waiting outside the pharmacy. Police located both men during the search. One stopped and was arrested only after officers fired a warning shot; the stolen cash was found on him. The second suspect was arrested in the town shortly afterward. Police opened an investigation on suspicion of aggravated robbery and extortion.
