Thieves threaten father and son with knife at motorway rest area
A 56-year-old man and his 19-year-old son faced a drawn knife at the Lebbiner Heide rest area on the A12 early on 25 September 2026 when they confronted two suspected thieves. The father was also punched in the face, and the men escaped. Earlier, one of the strangers had engaged them in conversation during their stop while his accomplice, according to initial findings, stole a bag containing documents and cash from their car. The father and son reported the incident to police at around 02:30.
