Men identified after robberies at fake sex dates in Nuremberg

Nuremberg criminal police are investigating several robberies linked to fake sex-date meetings between April and June 2025. At least three men are alleged to have arranged meetings with men through a classified-ad platform and ambushed them at locations in the city. Pepper spray was allegedly used in some of the robberies, and victims were threatened with a knife. The perpetrators are alleged to have taken cash and mobile phones; at least three victims sustained minor injuries. Two suspects, aged 19 and 20, have been identified. A detention order was issued for the 19-year-old, who is in pre-trial detention. Investigations into another suspected accomplice continue.
