Woman threatens police patrol with knife in Nuremberg
A 47-year-old woman threatened a police patrol with a knife outside a court building on Roonstraße in Nuremberg's Himpfelshof district on the morning of 12 March. Before that, she had been standing outside with a cardboard sign and the knife and, according to police, demanding a large sum of money she believed she was owed.
The woman inflicted multiple injuries on herself with the knife. Officers tried to calm her and ultimately used a conducted-energy device to stop further self-harm. After officers provided initial care, she was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. No other people were injured, and the operation ended at about 10:45 a.m.
