Woman pulls knife during dispute at Nuremberg Central Station
Late on 11 March, an 18-year-old woman and her companion became involved in a loud dispute at Nuremberg Central Station. When railway security staff approached them, the woman pulled a prohibited switchblade from her trouser pocket and opened it. She put the knife down after the staff said they would use pepper spray.
Federal police seized the switchblade. Officers also found two one-handed knives and a machete on the woman's 26-year-old companion. Both were allowed to leave after police measures, but the weapons remained seized. Both are under investigation for weapons-law violations, and the woman also faces an investigation for making threats.
