Man remanded in custody after knife attack in Nottuln
A 38-year-old man is alleged to have unexpectedly attacked his separated former partner near a bus stop on the B 525 in Nottuln on 11 September, stabbing her several times with a knife. The 38-year-old woman was seriously injured and remained in hospital, according to the authorities.
A passing witness gave first aid and alerted police and emergency services. The suspect is said to have initially fled on foot but later turned himself in at a police station in Coesfeld. On 12 September, a judge ordered his remand in custody on suspicion of attempted murder and dangerous bodily harm.
