Woman injured in knife attack in Nottuln
A 38-year-old woman was critically injured in a knife attack near the Billerbecker Straße bus stop on the B 525 in Nottuln at about 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Witnesses found her with multiple stab wounds, and emergency crews took her to hospital. Police later said she was no longer in immediate danger.
According to her initial statement, the injuries may have been inflicted by her 38-year-old separated former partner. A homicide investigation team took over the case. The suspect, who had initially fled, surrendered at a police station in Coesfeld the following afternoon and was arrested; police said he had not commented on the allegations.
