Man threatens witness with butcher's knife in Appelhülsen
A 33-year-old man allegedly threatened a witness with a butcher's knife in Appelhülsen on Sunday. Witnesses had previously noticed him trying to open a patio door through a tilted window. When he was discovered, he fled towards Bösensell.
A passing driver pursued him and later spoke to him near the Stever bridge. Police said the man pulled a butcher's knife from his pocket and threatened the witness with it. The suspect continued towards the A43 motorway and was subsequently arrested by police on a farm track. He was initially taken into custody and later admitted to a psychiatric hospital.
