Search after attempted armed extortion in Neuwied
An unknown suspect allegedly tried to force a woman to hand over cash and her phone on Augustastraße in Neuwied on 7 February 2026. Police said he held a knife in front of her between 5:20 and 5:30 a.m. The woman called for help, after which the suspect fled in the direction of Matthiaskirche. Police are searching for the man and requesting information.
