Burglars threaten homeowner in Neu-Ulm with knife
Two masked burglars allegedly attacked a 57-year-old homeowner during the night before Saturday at a detached house in Pfuhl, a district of Neu-Ulm. The men allegedly overpowered him and threatened him with a knife and a hammer before searching the house for valuables. They then locked the man in a boiler room. A neighbour heard his calls for help in the morning, and the fire service forced open the door. The homeowner was taken to hospital with minor injuries and was released later that day. It was initially unclear whether anything had been stolen.
