Man allegedly tried to draw machete against police officer in Naumburg
After a burglary alarm at a shop in Naumburg railway station, police encountered a 27-year-old man on Sunday morning. He allegedly threw a container toward a police officer and then tried to draw a machete he was carrying, but did not fully succeed. The suspect initially fled across the tracks, fell in the track bed and was provisionally arrested. A judge later issued a detention warrant. The investigation continues, and evidence and suspected stolen property were seized during a search of his home.
