Man injured with pointed object in attempted robbery in Munich
A 49-year-old man was injured in several places with a pointed object during an attempted robbery in a green space in Munich’s Schwanthalerhöhe district. At about 9:30 p.m. on 8 October 2026, an unknown assailant first struck him on the back of the head; the two then struggled over the man’s shoulder bag. The assailant fled without the bag when the injured man called for help. The man asked a bystander to call emergency services and was taken to hospital by paramedics. An initial police search found no trace of the assailant, and the investigation continues.
