Man threatens passenger with pocketknife on Munich regional train
Federal police detained a 60-year-old man on the evening of 8 October aboard a regional train ready to depart from Munich Central Station. At around 9 p.m., he had argued with a 21-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman on the train bound for Plattling and racially insulted both. He tried to punch the 21-year-old, who moved out of the way. The older man then pulled a pocketknife and threatened him. The two passengers left the train and told the driver, who alerted federal police. During a search, officers found the knife along with a car key, two wallets and identity documents that apparently did not belong to the detained man; their origin is under investigation. Police are investigating suspected threats, attempted assault, insults and theft. He was taken to a detention facility pending an appearance before a judge the following day.
