Man threatens another man with pocketknife in Munich restaurant
An argument between two men in a restaurant at Munich's Karlsplatz prompted a substantial police response on 29 September 2026. At about 2:45 p.m., a 63-year-old man drew a pocketknife and threatened a 26-year-old man. Officers arrived to find him still holding the knife. He discarded it after an officer drew a firearm, but remained aggressive; police used pepper spray and arrested him. The 63-year-old sustained minor injuries, received hospital treatment and was discharged, while the 26-year-old was unharmed. The restaurant was cordoned off during the police operation. Investigations are continuing.
