Man detained after holding hunting knife in Munich stairwell
Residents called police early Sunday after a resident was loudly causing a disturbance in an apartment building in Ramersdorf-Perlach. Officers encountered the 61-year-old in the stairwell holding a hunting knife visibly in front of him. Police drew their firearms and repeatedly ordered him to drop the knife. He eventually threw it away, was brought to the ground and restrained, but resisted the measures. He was reported for making threats and for assaulting and resisting police officers; the knife was seized. Because police considered him clearly intoxicated, he was held in custody after processing.
