21-year-old critically injured by bladed weapon in Mülheim
A 21-year-old man was critically injured early on 22 July during an altercation between two groups by the Ruhr river at Schloßbrücke in Mülheim an der Ruhr. Police found him bleeding heavily on a stair landing on Leineweberstraße; he had apparently suffered an injury from a bladed weapon. He was taken to hospital after receiving first aid. Police arrested three male suspects nearby and secured a suspected weapon. A homicide unit is investigating on suspicion of attempted manslaughter.
