Knife used in altercation at café in Moers
At least one person was seriously injured in an altercation involving several people near a café in Moers on Sunday morning. Police said a knife was used, and the injured person was taken to hospital.
During the investigation, police searched the café, the injured person's home and a suspect's car. A suspect who had initially been provisionally detained was released after no application for a detention warrant was made. An initial suspicion of attempted homicide was not substantiated, and police continue to investigate, including on suspicion of dangerous bodily harm.
