Knife attack on four young adults in Mettmann
Four youths allegedly attacked four 18- and 19-year-olds in Mettmann on Thursday evening. At around 22:20, the groups encountered each other on Talstraße near Breite Straße. Police said one attacker thrust a knife toward a 19-year-old, who was able to avoid it. Another attacker then struck him before the group fled toward a kiosk. The youths allegedly threw glass bottles in their direction. An 18-year-old sustained minor injuries from glass splinters. Police provisionally detained two suspects nearby and released them after initial measures; the investigation is continuing.
