Fake police officers rob family at knifepoint on A4
Two men allegedly posed as police officers on the A4 near Merzenich on 3 September and induced a travelling family from England to stop on the hard shoulder. One man, wearing what appeared to be a police uniform, approached the vehicle, demanded the occupants' valuables and, according to the 19-year-old driver, threatened them with a knife. The family handed over 1,200 British pounds and a gold bracelet. The two men then fled in their vehicle on the A4 towards Aachen.
