Man arrested after knife attack in Melsungen
A 26-year-old man is suspected of injuring a guest with a knife at a restaurant in Melsungen during the night of 7 March. The man sustained a cut to his forearm and was taken to hospital after police officers provided first aid.
The suspect is then said to have fled towards the old town. At another restaurant, he allegedly caused a disturbance, slapped the publican and threatened him with a knife. Police arrested the man after a further incident at a restaurant, and he is being investigated on suspicion of, among other offences, dangerous bodily harm.
