Man attacks police officers with knife in Meerbusch
A 23-year-old man is alleged to have attacked police officers with a knife in Meerbusch at about 8:30 p.m. on 9 September. Police and prosecutors said he had first reported finding Molotov cocktails near a police station. When a patrol arrived at Holbeinstraße, he allegedly drew a knife and attacked the officers. The officers used their firearms and repelled the attack. The man was injured, treated until further emergency personnel arrived, and taken to hospital. He was not in mortal danger after surgery; Düsseldorf police took over the investigation.
