Woman seriously injured in attack in Mannheim
A 67-year-old man is suspected of attempting to kill a 63-year-old woman on Freiburg Street in Mannheim on 18 November. Investigators said he attacked her at about 7 p.m., threatened to kill her, pulled her to the ground and caused stab and cut injuries below her chin. The woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Passers-by noticed her screams; the man initially fled but was arrested shortly afterwards. A pre-trial detention warrant was issued against him and he was taken to prison.
