Man threatens group with knife in Mainz
Following an argument with a group of six, a man allegedly drew a large knife and held it threateningly towards the group outside Mainz's Malakoff Passage on 6 June. The knife was not used. Police found the man in the passage and restrained him because it was initially unclear whether he was still armed. The knife believed to have been used was found later. During the incident, an unidentified man from the group allegedly injured the accused man's face with a wooden plank, and he received medical treatment. Investigations into the sequence of events and background continue.
