Man threatened with knife in Mainz green space
A 20-year-old man was threatened with a knife in a green space near Mainz's Rhine riverbank on Monday evening after an attempted theft of his backpack. The unidentified man took the backpack, which had been placed beside a bench, and ran away. The victim pursued him and knocked him to the ground. After getting back up, the man threatened the 20-year-old with a knife, left the backpack behind and fled without any loot. The victim was not injured.
