Man injured in knife attack in Mainz
On Sunday at about 3 p.m., a man sitting on a bench on Kaiserstraße in Mainz became involved in an argument with two men. The two men hit him, and one of them then inflicted superficial wounds to his hand and arm with a knife. A bystander intervened, after which the attackers used pepper spray against both the helper and the initially injured man. Both men sustained minor injuries. The attackers fled towards the main railway station with another man, and the first victim's phone, which had fallen to the ground, was taken.
