Man dies after knife attack in Mainz's Hartenbergpark
A 39-year-old man died following a larger altercation in Mainz's Hartenbergpark. Police were alerted at about 23:30 on 20 April after receiving a report that a knife had been used and a person injured. Officers found the man with a stab or cut injury, and resuscitation attempts were unsuccessful. Police later stopped a man considered a pressing suspect near the scene and provisionally detained him. According to police, the background to the incident remained under investigation.
