Man injured with knife at Magdeburg-Herrenkrug stop

On 3 July, federal police were informed at about 21:30 of a heavily bleeding man at the Magdeburg-Herrenkrug stop. Officers found a 37-year-old with a facial cut; paramedics provided initial treatment and took him to hospital. The injured man said that three people had approached him. Following a verbal dispute, he said he was punched in the ribs and cut on his left cheek with a knife. The three suspects fled towards the Herrenkrug tram stop. The search was unsuccessful and federal police are investigating suspected dangerous bodily harm. It remains under investigation whether the attack took place directly at the stop or nearby.
