Cyclist attacked with knife in Lünen
A 66-year-old man was cycling on Münsterstraße in Lünen on 16 August 2026 when another cyclist attacked him with a beer bottle and a knife. According to police, the other man had allegedly made far-right slogans before the 66-year-old asked him to stop, after which the attack occurred. The man escaped on his bicycle towards Dorfstraße. Police are investigating, including on suspicion of dangerous bodily harm, and are seeking witnesses.
